Summer 2018 was a very good summer for Grandma’s Bakery as well! We welcomed aboard our team, a new Baker, Eleanor Turnbull and Assistant Baker, Linda Richard. The bakery supplied traditional baked goods and homemade bread daily, and the produce sold as quickly as being put on the shelves!
Have you stopped by this past summer for one of our famous artisanal coffees created in partnership with “La brûlerie de Café des Iles”? Our expresso blend, the Drunken Sailor, and our filtered blend, the Rise & Shine, were great hits!
Our famous pickles and jams were done by Norma Jean Clarke and Benita Clarke who processed the fruits & vegetables mainly from local grown producers!
Grandma’s Preserves attended the local market each week to promote and sell our products! A huge thank you to Bon Gout Frais des Iles for the support & promotion, and to our entire staff for a great summer!
In partnership with some local businesses, we were able to produce some new products this past summer that we hope you had the chance to try out!
In collaboration with La fille de la mer, we produced a rose hip and buttermilk soap bar!
And in collaboration with Le Quai 360 and our local microbrewery, L’Abri de la Tempête, we developed some beer jelly!
